The Catechesis (teaching) of the Good Shepard was developed by Maria Montessori with the central aim of developing the religious awareness of children through prayerful participation through an experiential, hands-on, and meditative teaching method. The classroom of the CGS is called "the atrium" and is the space where the catechists present and the children work on tactile, scriptural, and liturgically based lessons. In the atrium, the faith of the Christian community is treated as a source of celebration. We invite you to consider enrolling your child(ren) in the Catechesis of the Good Shepard!
For more information, please contact our faith formation director, at frraji@churchofstbernard-stp.org or 651-488-6733. If you are interested in enrolling your children, please fill out the 2 forms below and leave them with the catechist. Thank you.
